Brief:
A small space and a practical kitchen using sustainable materials. Bench space and drawers, drawers, drawers! These clients considered pulling down walls to increase the size of their kitchen and decided against it. The main points of this brief:
- Keep the original room size
- Easy to use and
- Very functional kitchen.
End Result – A gorgeous and practical kitchen.
It’s amazing what a good design can achieve in a small space. This kitchen has everything packed into a small, yet very functional space.
The natural strand bamboo brings a lovely warmth to the kitchen. The square finger-pulls provide practical access to the drawers and cupboards. There are no handles jutting out, so no space lost there. And there is now a large amount of bench space for such a small kitchen.
The Pezzo design is great for small kitchens as it is naturally space saving. As Pezzo kitchens are put together in pieces, not cabinets, there’s no material double-ups. Which means, more room for storage, less wasted space.
The marmoleum bench top provides a practical surface with natural antibacterial properties. And the marmoleum lined drawers are really easy to keep clean.
And my favourite part of this kitchen? The gorgeous open shelves. These shelves add just enough pizzazz to the kitchen, whilst creating a lovely tea and coffee nook.
