Brief:
This entertainment unit was designed to be exhibited at the NSW Woodworkers’ Association exhibition Design+Wood 2009. “Design+Wood 2009 was a juried exhibition. Exhibitors were selected from a strong panel of four distinguished curators and woodworkers: Grace Cochrane, Rodney Haywood, Brian Parkes and Leon Sadubin.” Excerpt taken from the Design+Wood 2009 exhibition brochure. The exhibition was made up of 10 designer/makers.
The idea for the AV Entertainment Unit was borne out of a need at home to house our AV equipment and as part of the exhibition guidelines, the exhibitors were asked to design around a small footprint, due to size of the exhibition space.
The unit was subsequently sold at Bungendore Wood Works Gallery.
